Browns Creek

Tucked-away creek off the St. Johns River north of Heckscher Drive, draining out of the Timucuan Preserve marsh. Snook stack on the deeper bends in summer and fall, redfish work the oyster bars on the lower tides, trout on the flats at dawn. Easiest access is by boat from the Browns Creek Fish Camp ramp at the mouth.
