Nassau Sound
inshore · Jacksonville & beyond
One of the best inshore fishing areas in NE Florida — state-record flounder caught here. Deep channels, expansive marsh grass, and strong tidal flow between Amelia Island and Big Talbot. Bull redfish and gator trout work the bars, flounder stack in the cuts on falling tides, sheepshead and black drum on the bridge pilings and oyster bars, Spanish mackerel near the inlet in summer. Access via Amelia Island State Park (free, walk-in/kayak, west marsh side) or by boat from any Amelia ramp. Consolidates what were previously four separate spots — same waters, one cleaner entry.
