Faver-Dykes State Park

inshore · Jacksonville & beyond
Quiet state park on Pellicer Creek, south of St. Augustine off I-95. The creek is tannic and tidal — Redfish, Trout, and Flounder push up from the Matanzas estuary on the incoming, while Largemouth, Bluegill, and catfish work the freshwater stretches. Kayak access to the Pellicer Creek Paddling Trail. State park entrance fee at the gate. Gators are not a rumor in the upper creek.
